NIGHT DREAMS CAN HELP!!!

CHANGING DUALISTIC CONFLICT INTO ONENESS

This piece was taken and inspired by a dream I had one night. The dream was the result of intention and affirmations in the direction of becoming more aware of, resolving and healing inner and outer conflict. In the dream I was having a discussion on some matter with an old class mate named Joe. We were disagreeing with each other on some matter. What that subject was I cannot recall, more important than the subject was the general teaching that came through the dream. I was having a hard time seeing or excepting his point of view and he to was having a hard time excepting mine. Respect for each others point of view seemed to be lost. Until, the energy shifted and he changed his approach. I will now try to translate what that energy shift was into words.
Joe spoke in response to our disagreement. From one point of view, yes it is true. We are in disagreement. That is seeing things from the dualistic perspective. But here is another interpretation of what is taking place. The disagreement is seen as such only because we see our selves as separate and coming from two points of view. But seen from another plane, I see the seeming two points of view as actually one. I see the joining of the two as a grander and vaster point then the sum of it’s parts. Another way of looking at it is, an argument between two people is one argument. A fight between two is one fight. A couple dancing together is but one dance not two. The seeming separateness of the situation is the source of illusionary conflict. The resolution of the conflict lies in moving in the direction of seeing the other as ones own self. Respecting and honoring the others point of view. The two sides of the coin can then be seen as one coin. So I see our exchange not as a disagreement between two separate individuals, but an energy exchange between us, and more accurately an energy that is taking place here and now. That energy dynamic is but one energy but is also perceived as two which each of the participants are aware of to a greater or lesser degree. Just before the dream faded Joe said one last thing. There is one dance of energy taking place and I abide in this viewpoint.
